At Lela’s Honey, every jar carries more than sweetness—it carries a story.
In 2021, my family’s world shifted. My dad and I were both hospitalized with COVID. One day, a nurse looked at my mom and said, almost in passing, “If he gets out of here, get him back on the herbs he was on asap.” That little word—if—hung heavy in the air. Sadly, my dad never left the hospital.
I did. And when I got home, we followed the nurse’s advice. The herbs she was unknowingly referring to were the beginnings of what is now our Whipped Turmeric Honey. I started taking it daily again. But for my mom and me, it became more than just a remedy—it became a sail in the storm of grief, a sweet ritual reminding us to savor every moment, even the hard ones.
